Accreditation

Glenmeadow has received accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities-Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CARF-CCAC). The CARF-CCAC is an independent, not-for-profit organization that accredits a wide range of human service organizations. The CARF-CCAC accreditation offers assurance to the public that there has been an external third-party review of quality.

CARF-CCAC accreditation is a rigorous voluntary process involving extensive self-evaluation by the retirement community's staff, residents, and board of directors, and an on-site review by trained CARF-CCAC evaluators. The process demands that communities meet standards of excellence in three critical areas: resident life, health & wellness; financial resources and disclosure; and governance and administration.

Accreditation not only provides assurance of quality and integrity, it offers the public a standard for comparison in evaluating retirement communities. Only five communities are accredited in Massachusetts and approximately 340 nationally.
