Linda Edwards
Director of Marketing
Pizza, high-tech ophthalmic equipment ...you name it, Linda's done marketing for it. But she sees Glenmeadow as unique. "In other jobs, I sometimes found that the picture I had created for the marketing brochure was not the everyday reality," she admits. That's not the case at Glenmeadow. "I think being honest about who we are--and who we aren't--is the only way to operate," she says.
For Linda, who's been at Glenmeadow since 2003, "just good enough" isn't good enough. "I definitely like a challenge, and I love the fact that there is no such thing as a typical day. While some would find this stressful, I find it exhilarating."
She's been happily married for about twenty years and is the mother of two teenagers. Because she's juggling work and school schedules, kids' activities, and volunteer work for her church, Linda doesn't have much time for hobbies. But she says, "Our residents are giving me plenty of ideas for things I would like to pursue when I retire."
What makes it easy to market Glenmeadow? "I had only been working here a week or two when I received a telephone call. The woman said her mother-in-law had been with us, but had passed away a couple of years ago. It was time for her own mom to get some support, and she wanted her at Glenmeadow," Linda says. "I thought that spoke volumes."
