Staff
Understanding the importance of employees is a key ingredient in keeping and attracting high quality staff. Providing an atmosphere in which employees have enjoyable, reasonable, well supervised jobs is a priority at Glenmeadow. Our efforts in this area are rewarded with low turnover rates and high job satisfaction rates among our staff. Once a person is selected for Glenmeadow employment, training begins with an orientation, both formal and on the job, and is continued throughout the term of employment, through monthly required trainings, and other job-specific trainings. There is a focus on working with older adults in the entire program, and specific information on aging is covered.
Glenmeadow is a friendly and efficient work environment where everyone's job includes "responding to every resident request before completing their shift." Employees are given enough latitude in doing their jobs that they feel empowered to be problem solvers. Each employee is expected to work as part of a number of different teams, but understands that together we make up the "Glenmeadow" team. Our Code of Behavior speaks to the importance of teamwork when it states "all employees will accept the problems of every Department as the challenge of the entire Glenmeadow team and work together to find solutions."
